Reminiscence of Wegaity

The thought of doing resistance training at Bukit Timah Hill thrilled me a little initially. But soonafter, I succumbed to fear and was overrided by jitters whenever the thought visits me. I knew there was no turning back when I'd signed up for the sundown marathon. I just had to start training.

Thanks to Yiwen, the Bukit Timah hill tour guide cum resistance trainer, I got to experience the simple glamour of nature once again.

While I was running my lungs out and somehow trying to struggle with every wisp of air I can possibly breathe in, the imageries of myself running in Poland's Wegaity forest began to replay slowly... Wacek was leading us in forest training... the body knew no boundaries and I was constituting as maximum speed as possible to catch up with everyone... it was winter and almost a screaming -16 degrees out there but we all just bit our lips and endeavoured the whole training to the very end...

I was filled with pain but that of a savoury one. Nothing could come as close as replacing that episode of my life.

We only managed to conquer half the hill. It will definitely be a full one next time!
