Dan's birthday dinner @ Indulgz

Indulgz Bistro... where senzes R satisfied!

This is the 'secret' place I brought Dan for his birthday dinner!

Okay, I'll have to agree with it about 90%. The incompleteness to me would have to be the price as it appears to be a little steep in my eyes in exchange for the portion. Haha! Call me greedy but well I still adore this place and I'll definitely patronise the place again.

Indulgz Bistro is at Tan Quee Lan Street.

Peach & Mango smoothie.. rich and addictive!

Crab chowder soup... a little mediocre. Perhaps more chunks of crab meat will be better? Hehe.

This is my main! Pink Salmon with white wine... light and appetising with the salmon cooked to the right texture

Dan's main! Indulgz's signature slipper lobster & scallop platter

Perfect dessert to round off... warm berry trifle

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR!
Yeah, you should visit Indulgz too if you wish to stray away from rowdy eateries and be tucked into a cosy corner with fine European dining. :)

dolce

On my way to work today, I was handed a free copy of this dolce magazine at the Raffles Place MRT station. After some mindless browsing, I absolutely think it's awesome! Any news regarding fashion, food, chill out are readily available and informative.

Do accept a copy if anyone distributes to you! :)

Simple pleasures

OMG... it's already Friday!

That dictates the end of my block leave and reality will surface in no time. FINE! I'm ready for it. Ha.

Yeah indeed, the past week has been really spent with sheer simplicity. I can be just watching television delightfully for few hours at one go, surfing net aimlessly or going for an evening jog myself. This is the kind of placid life that I have been hankering for, that takes my mind off societal woes for the time being.

I brought my mum and aunt for dim-sum lunch at Lion City Hotel just now. It has been a while since my mum and I shared some quality time with aunt. Another simple satisfaction!

Am meeting up with Fiona and Shufen later in the evening for some catch up session. I love moments like this!

Simple pleasures? This is it.

"The art of art, the glory of expression and the sunshine of the light of letters, is simplicity."

KL break is over!

I'm back from KL to hibernate for 1 whole week before returning to work! I know I'm the envy of many. Heh.

I love and hate this feeling though. Somehow it's a relief to kinda do nothing. But on the contrary I can't stand doing nothing or be carefree for too long!

Urm, KL was merely an affair of window shopping and food gorging. The shopping was definitely a disappointing one as I held high expectations before that, but ended up with pathetic purchases instead. The redeeming factor is of course heavenly food! Well most importantly, the trip did rejuvenate me.
TRIP HIGHLIGHTS!

We were lucky to be upgraded to VIP coach from Five Stars! Personalised TV and comfy seats!

Our stay was at Royale Bintang Hotel. Pretty decent service and room and it's super near to shopping malls like Lot 10, Pavilion, Sungei Wang etc

Pool view from our hotel

Our room

The much raved about high class shopping mall...

The exterior of this Coach boutique in Pavilion just somehow caught my eye and took a snap. Hee.

Buzzing Bukit Bintang road just outside my hotel

Awesome night view of Petronas Twin Towers from my hotel!

The famous Alor Street where you salivate for authentic food

For me, Secret Recipe is a must have in Malaysia cause it's cheap!

Enjoying my coffee break in Secret Recipe

Ok, at least I made a proud purchase! A pair of Asics running shoes meant for long distance running

Stocked up my earrings

Dan & I decided to embark on a journey to nearby Genting! Bought 2 way bus tickets at Puduraya Bus Terminal at only RM8.50 each and much to our surprise, the tickets also comprised of a skyway ride to and from Genting as the bus doesn't fetch us all the way up. Cool!

Dan got a haircut from Kimarie there...

Before
After!

I strongly recommend this HK eating house located in Sungei Wang.

We did fish spa! A treat for the fishes and our legs. Hee.

KL monorail

I hope my impending hibernation will be a fruitful one! :P

I'm on block leave!

Yay! The much anticipated block leave is here!

11-19 September!

Finally I can get away from serious work and plunge into some non mind-boggling activities. Ha. Though I'll only be in KL from tomorrow till this Sunday, I hope I still can make useful the rest of the leave.

I shall blog about KL when I'm back. Adieus! :)

New HP... N5320!

I think to change a mobile phone once every 2 years should be quite reasonable right? What's more, it's only $98 and it's one of the newest Nokia model... they call it the Xpress Music phone or something. It may not look impressive but it's pretty sleek and light. Check it out!

Cynthia & Me!

Phew. This is an overdue post man... after an creditable effort in resizing the photos!
Met up with Cynthia for her belated birthday treat last Sat! Dinner was in Canele Patisserie at Shaw Centre....
This poster is appetising enough isn't it?
Fanciful decor...

I must show off Cynthia's Ferragamo hair clip worth $90+! Hee..

Cynthia with her Carbonara

Shared a Canele salad

My mushroom alfredo

Cynthia suggested that I must visit Mezza9 at Hyatt hotel because it's a cool and classy place to hang out... and of course I obliged! Desserts were on her which costs more than the dinner I treated her.. so kind right. Hee.

The lychee martini that Cynthia ordered for me

Our dessert platter... you need to really have a sweet tooth for this!
