Easter [A.S. Eastre, name of a spring goddess], chief Christian feast, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus after his crucifixion. In the West, Easter is celebrated on the Sunday following the full moon next after the vernal equinox; thus, it falls between Mar. 22 and Apr. 25. Good Friday, anniversary of Jesus' death on the cross. According to the Gospels, Jesus was put to death on the Friday before Easter Day. Since the early church Good Friday has been observed by fasting and penance. In the Orthodox, Roman Catholic, and Anglican traditions, the celebration of the Eucharist is suspended; liturgical service involves veneration of the cross, the Passion narrative from the Gospel of St. John, and communion using bread and wine consecrated the previous day, Maundy Thursday. Other forms of observance include prayer and meditation at the Stations of the Cross, a succession of 14 images, usually on wooden crosses, depicting Christ's crucifixion and the events leading up to it.
My Easter Friday was spent with dearies Joey and Evoynne at Lawry's for high tea. It was a simple combination of cheese fries, calamari, yorkshire rolls and dessert sampler but it got us filled up in high contentment. We discussed excitedly about possibilities of going on a short trip to Cebu or Boracay or Bangkok or just a cruise to take our minds away.
Like a lot of nosy and inquiring Singaporeans, we also made our way to the grand opening of Tampines 1 Mall, mainly to involve ourselves in the Uniqlo crowd. But you know what, I gave up entering Uniqlo due to the discouraging though expected buzzing crowd. We were being informed we'd to queue at least 30 mins to go in hence we relented in queueing in the end.
We were glad that we managed to go Manpuku for dinner hence the trip wasn't that wasted afterall. It's like a Shokudo-alike concept Japanese gourmet foodcourt but I kinda prefer its ambience and standard of food than Shokudo's actually. We will go there again!

"Make it a rule of life never to regret and never to look back. Regret is an appalling waste of energy; you can't build on it; it's only for wallowing in."
The hotel we resided at during our stay in HK is greatly a recommended one. Remember Butterfly on Prat... try it to experience it!
When we reached the airport to board out flight back to Sg, we were informed that our original flight leaving HK at 6.30pm had been overbooked! Yes overbooked. How rare an occasion will it happen to you? And we were asked to board the next flight THE NEXT DAY. How is this possible? Even though Cathay could compensate us, we insisted a flight back that day. And in the end, they managed to put us in the next flight leaving at 8pm and FREE UPGRADE TOBUSINESS CLASS! We nodded our heads in sync for that!
The short trip was rejuvenating though it left me craving more and a longer stay. Urm, i think it's time to plan for my yearly must go destination... Bangkok!
