Things to do this weekend

  1. Run at East Coast Park tomorrow... I need to start running again for the upcoming GE women run in Nov and Standard Chartered half marathon in Dec!
  2. Try to have an express manicure session
  3. Drop by office to put the GE women race bags for my colleagues on their desks
  4. Focus shopping!! I hope to buy a nice dress for Joey's wedding next Sunday. Other things on my list include a new yoga mat and birthday presents for Yiwen and Yunwei.
  5. I need to have nice tea and pastries
  6. Do up Joey's 'contract' to be signed off by future husband. Fun!
  7. Practise my MC script for Joey's wedding
  8. Joey's hens party!

Penang Trail

We arrived in Penang on a scorching evening

Doesn't this beef kuay teow soup just whet your appetite? I gobbled up the whole bowl in no time as I was really famished!

Took a sneak peep into the quite raved about Hotel G and indeed it was impressive. I want to stay here the next time I come to Penang!

Supper at New Lane before rounding off the first night in Penang

Durian ice-kachang... we heard it's famous but it was only mediocre to me

We visited Dan's uncle at his marvellously huge and nicely done-up condo. Aunt Lena baked strawberry cake and scones for us which turned out really delectable.

View from the balcony

I wished I can bring this mirror home... hee!

Dan's uncle drove us to the 2 month old Hard Rock Hotel somewhere at Batu Ferringi

They carved a statue of the King of Pop

We adjourned to a nearby seafood place for dinner overlooking the sea and caught scenic views at the same time

The E&O (Eastern & Oriental) Hotel which is almost a replicate of our Raffles Hotel

This is where Glen Goei shot his movie "The Blue Mansion"

Penang Museum

A shot together having Nonya food on our last night in Penang
End of trail!

Wedding month!

Penang is like Singapore in its 60-70's with most of the buildings in their utmost original conditions, and streets full of salivating local familiar cuisine like char kuay teow, chee cheong fun, fried oysters, chendol, ice kachang and the list goes on.

The trip was soothing and replenishing for the soul and yea, stomach as well of course. :)

Back to reality! This month is where my 2 dear friends, Joey and Jodice will wed their life partners in ultimate bliss!

I'm contained with so much indescribable exhilaration inside me for their once in a lifetime joy. I'm so glad that I'm able to participate in their wedding preparations and indulge in the gaiety of being part of their sisters' entourage. I feel loved by them and I love them the same way.

Congrats to them and I'm so looking forward to witness their big day. I'm so gonna tear on that day. Ha.
